George Chiu and Steve Tai invited Ryan Tsang, Champion of both 2020 Ontario Men's Mid-Amateur Championship Tournament and 2020 Willie Park Junior Memorial Invitational Tournament to play at Lionhead Golf and Country Club on October 6, 2020. Ryan was winner of George Chiu Golf Classic Tournament Championship Division for five years.
Congratulations to Jeffrey Fang on admissions to the Harvard University Golf Team. Jeffrey had been playing in the GCGC Tournament Junior Division from 2013 to 2016 for five years. Jeffrey, we are so happy for you and proud of your achievement. Wishing you all the best for a bright future!​
Exciting Changes to the George Chiu Golf Classic!

We are thrilled to announce the latest updates for the upcoming George Chiu Golf Classic, scheduled to take place at the scenic Woodington Lake Golf Club. Mark your calendars for this two-day event on August 23 & 24, 2024, focusing extensively on nurturing young talent and providing exciting competition for adult participants.

Event Details:
•Dates: August 23 & 24, 2024
•Location: Woodington Lake Golf Club
•Format:
    o August 23: Junior Tournament
        Age Categories: 10-13 and 14-16 years old
        Capacity: Limited to 24 participants
         Entry Fee: $75 per junior
    oAugust 24: Adult 2-Person Scramble Tournament
        Entry Fee: $700 per team, which includes hole sponsorship for the Junior Tournament
        Competition: Mixed scramble, single division

This year, we’re introducing a new format to enhance the experience for all participants. The Junior Tournament will feature young golfers in two age groups, providing a competitive yet supportive environment for showcasing their skills. The following day, the Adult 2-Person Scramble Tournament will be a mixed scramble in a single division. Each team's entry not only grants participation but also supports our juniors as a hole sponsor. The event will conclude with a dinner banquet on Saturday night, celebrating the achievements of our participants and the support of our sponsors.

We are excited to welcome both new and returning participants to what promises to be another memorable edition of the George Chiu Golf Classic. Whether you’re aiming to test your skills against the best or simply looking to enjoy a day of golf with friends, this tournament is for you!
